What happens now as I did not deactivate it and I need to reinstall the program on another system. If you are getting the message that says that your elements is already activated on two computers, then you need to contact Adobe's activation support.
Did that change somehow for that older version? I went in on another computer and I am running on a 30day trial now. The deactivation key does not allow to be selected.
I read that if it doesnt allow to select the deactivation key its beacuse it could be a Volume Licensing suite. I did by it from a photography school. Adobe said I must contact a licensing administrator, how do I get in touch with one of those? After you send that screen is when you may get the too many activations message - then you need to try the link I mentioned in message 1 above.
Yes it is not allow the deactivation key to be selected. It could be because it was bought on a Volume licensing basis? That is new for me, I'm guessing that the volume licence must have been controlled by someone in the Photography school and You might have to contact them. I tried the above but no luck. It does not even give me that screen. It says "Sorry this serial number is already in use I do think that you may have to contact the Photography School as I suspect they control the activation - but I could be wrong.
After chatting to others offline, we believe that Adobe sells a block of serial numbers to an establishment, like your Photography School, for them to control. That is one reason why it is at reduced rates. The establishment are also given the tools to help control the activations. Your Photography school will have an administrator who looks after the allocation of the serial numbers. It would have been their administrator who gave you the original number. You need to contact that administrator to help you sort it out.
We do not believe that re-installing elements on your old system would enable you to deactivate the serial number as in this case, the number is most often allocated on a per system basis.
Sadly, none of us on this user forum can really help you - we don't have that kind of power. You need to either chase the school's administrator or Adobe direct as above.
